I'm one of those "I don't know art but I know what I like", type people and I like Jeffrey Conley's work.

I love images of trees and nature. When I was a kid I wanted to live in a giant tree house when I grew up.

Jeffery develops his work in a dark room himself. "He strives in all his work to capture a meditative spirit that may convey the fragility and magic he witnesses in the natural world."

I see a lot of use of value and contrast in his photos.

I also really like his use of lines and shapes.

PS. I don't why some of the words turned purple or why these words started from the center.

I suck at blogging lol.

As I said in my last post I don't really remember how to use photoshop so I'm not sure what I'm doing. Any advice you could give me would be much appreciated.

My self portrait idea

Well I've always been fascinated by cat and dogs eyes. The colors, the shape, the way it illuminates light looks so beautiful to me. So my idea was to combine my face with a cat's face. I'm not sure exactly how to do this since it's been years since I've taking a photoshop class and didn't own the program ( I downloaded the free trial a week ago to practice with). I am thinking of maybe using a brush stroke to separate my side of the face from the cat's but I,m not sure I'll have to play around with it. I'm not sure what to scan since I was thinking the face would take up the whole album cover but I'll figure out something.

I hope my writing gets better through out the semester. I've always had trouble communicated my thoughts.
